Your Twitter profile picture as a verified NFT

We’re excited to share that NFTs stored in Argent can now be set as your Profile Picture on Twitter by subscribing to Twitter Blue. People are already changing their Profile Pictures to their favorite NFT. But there was no way to verify that you own the NFT displayed, until now.  

Twitter Blue is an opt-in, paid monthly subscription that provides you with exclusive premium features -  like early access to set an NFT profile picture - to let you customize your Twitter experience.

Currently, Twitter Blue is available in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

What are NFTs?

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are unique digital assets whose ownership is tracked on a blockchain, like Ethereum. 

An NFT can be anything, from collectibles, in-game items to digital art that you want to display as your Profile Picture. 

How to set your NFT Profile Picture?

Setting your NFT as your profile picture is easy to do - just follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your iOS Twitter app and go to your profile
2. Tap the Edit profile button, then tap on the profile picture icon and select Choose NFT
3. Follow the prompts and select Argent from the list of supported wallets
4. You will connect your wallet via QR code. Then, you’ll be prompted to connect to Twitter
5. Once you’ve connected your wallet, you can pick one of your NFTs to set as your profile picture
6. If you’d like to search for a specific NFT, you can search using the NFT’s Token ID or Contract address
7. Tap Done and you’re all set!

Your selected NFT will be displayed in a special hexagon shape on Twitter. And your followers can tap on your NFT to find out more details about it, like description, a link to the collection, and more. 

You can only connect one crypto wallet to your Twitter account at a time. If you want to change your NFT to one held in a different wallet, simply connect that new wallet to your profile picture. To do this, go to your Settings under Edit profile. Click your profile picture and select Use another wallet. 

Supported Wallets 

Argent is one of a few wallets that support this new feature on Twitter. With alternative wallets being Trust Wallet, Ledger, Coinbase, MetaMask and Rainbow.
