You can send ETH or USDC. Simply pick an amount and then share a unique gift link however you like - SMS, Whatsapp, email, Telegram etc.
If the recipient doesn’t have an Argent Layer 2 account they can easily create one and claim the gift. If they have an account already, they can just claim the gift.
You can choose between 3 pre-fixed amounts for the gift size. It will usually only cost you around $0.18 in network fees, and it’s free for the recipient.
Once they’ve got an account, in just a few taps they can stake ETH with Lido, or earn with Yearn, with DeFi fees from only $1.
How to gift crypto with Argent
Gifting crypto to your friends and family is incredibly simple, just follow these steps:
- Tap ‘Send’
- Tap ‘Send a gift’
- Choose an image for your gift
- Select the crypto you want to gift and how much (These are pre-set amounts)
- Tap ‘Create a gift’
- Share your gift link to your friend or family member
To claim the gift, the receiver needs to click on your gift link on their phone to claim the crypto. This requires an Argent L2 account and if the recipient doesn’t have one, they’ll be prompted to download Argent and create an account.
If the gift can’t be claimed for whatever reason, you can claim it yourself by clicking on the link in the email.
